In short, I like them all. i also think Gates beef (LC's too) is wonderful but there is something about Bryant's that stirs my loins like no other. The DLChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12804981463092544712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889765136853809643.post-54202058586732554592010-05-17T16:42:43.191-05:002010-05-17T16:42:43.191-05:00Nice post.

On Thursdays they have their bigger Burnt End sammy with a side on special that day. It's called "The Martin City Mayor" and costs about 8 bucks. They also have the best blackened wings I've ever ate and the best beans in town.

Oklahoma Joe's is also a real popular place, but I have about 20 BBQ's between me and their joint so I don't go there much.

One place you have to try is Woodyard's BBQ on Merriam Lane in KCK. Everything is good. Burnt ends are great along with Frank's pulled pork. They've also got the best sausage in town.Beermohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10249322181301147984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889765136853809643.post-23012651295457920002010-05-17T15:57:40.058-05:002010-05-17T15:57:40.058-05:00Way to sum this up, DLC. All Kansas Citians should eat at this restaurant at least once.

There are little things I'm not crazy about - the pre-sauced burnt ends (too ketchup-y), the ribs (sometimes great, sometimes rubbery), but there's something about every barbecue place that's not perfect. That's why this type of food--Kansas City's food--is such a conversation starter.JJSKCKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12980532680529123164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889765136853809643.post-1052307579831881362010-05-17T14:04:57.262-05:002010-05-17T14:04:57.262-05:00Thank God for Arthur Bryant's, virtually uncha...Thank God for Arthur Bryant's, virtually unchanged during my lifetime! Don't know why, just not my taste, and I didn't care for tasting gritty rub on the brisket.I might make another trip for a two-meat combo to finalize my opinion. No matter what my opinion is, there is no denying that this place is historic and stands right next to the old-timey famous places everyone knows about in other cities. Not to mention that it's a great value for $10 you get probably easy two pounds of food.kcmeeshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16640259113083899984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889765136853809643.post-76781282798201578312010-05-17T09:44:41.785-05:002010-05-17T09:44:41.785-05:00I have lived in KC for over 10 years now, and have...I have lived in KC for over 10 years now, and have never been to Arthur Bryant's. I really need to remedy that one of these days...

(I haven't ever been to Ok. Joe's, either. But I've had the opportunity to eat their food at parties. It's good, in my experience.)Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13586875268181033533noreply@blogger.com
